Not sure if you know, but I’m obsessed with Thoreau. The man was something else. So, I leave you this Friday with a quote from the man who pretty much got it. Whatever “it” is.
“You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment.” ~Thoreau
Have a great weekend ... War D Eagle!

The Things I Do For My Friends ... Unreal.
Those two little monkeys that live in the same house with me are gone to Disney World this weekend. Can I get a h*ll yeah?! Mommy needs a break!
Yes, you know it. This post inevitably will lead to Auburn football.
I had planned from the beginning of the year to travel with a group to Gainesville for the game. Already made arrangements. Done deal.
So, what a cha know?! Someone plans an event during football season. For the life of me, I don’t understand people’s mentality. (FYI- I skipped my grandmother’s retirement party to watch the Auburn/Miss St game.)
My dear friend is having a 30th birthday party this weekend. So, since I care about my friends almost as much as Auburn football, I’m skipping traveling to Gainesville and watching the game on a big screen. Even though he is an Alabama fan, God help him, I love him dearly and wouldn’t miss this for the world!
I know, I know — Brandon only does well when I am in attendance. I’ve already talked with him, and he completely understands why I won’t be in Gainesville this Saturday night. God, I love him. I know he will do well. For that matter, I know all of my Tigers will do well. Have I mentioned how much I miss Will Herring? God, I love HIM!!!
OH oh oh oh oh YEAH! This is the kicker — this birthday bash theme is Alabama football … Can I get a h*ll nah!?

We Can Beat Florida ...
Someone sent this to me today ... And since I'm on my Auburn tirade, as usual, I thought I'd post it here. This gives me chills ...
To paraphrase, Shug said:
"Gentlemen, I can see by the look in some of your eyes that you don't believe Auburn can win this weekend. Well, the team bus is waiting. I want only those who believe Auburn can win to go get on it."
Slowly, one by one, the Auburn team rose from their seats and began to file onto the team bus. Within only a minute or two, every chair in the room was empty, and Auburn went on to Birmingham and defeated Tennessee 10-6 in what was a monumental upset.

I know, right? Every guys dream girl ...
I don’t like to shop. Really. I don’t. I would rather be on the boat with a “Dave Matthews Kool-Aid” in my hand, listening to good tunes, rather than out shopping any given day. I can’t fathom why other people would choose the latter. We’ll go to the beach, and a few of my sisters will shop all day. Ant-uh—not me.
I shop for the necessity not the thrill of it. So today, I don’t have my iPod and didn’t feel like driving all the home listening to the radio; plus, I have to find something to wear to a 30th birthday party this weekend, I went shopping.
There is a point coming, I think.
I ended up finding something to wear to the party, and I ended up spending too much money. Go figure. Ok, here comes my point: I think someone was playing a trick on me. Here I was not wanting to shop at all, and what a ya know — they were tearing up a “Toad the Wet Sprocket” CD in the store. I couldn’t leave.
I still don’t enjoy shopping, but today was rather pleasant. Ah, the wonders of music.

Nothing Else to Talk About ...
As much as I hate that summer is ending, I must admit that it feels fantastic outside today. Even though (ahem) Auburn is not doing so well, it is definitely great football weather. Hopefully, it stays cool and breezy for the game on Saturday.
Speaking about football, which I never do (riiiight), who would have thought that I’d be worried about playing New Mexico on Saturday? Well, I’m not really. I still believe in my 1-2 Tigers! As I’ve told many of you, I really think it’s because Brandon knew I was not there. (riiiiight, again). And, my input about all the booing hype … Personally, I would never … And, I’d probably slap you if you were booing beside me, especially booing Brandon Cox. Puh-lease!
