Reagan: Sissy! (While Avery is quietly looking out the window.)
Reagan: Sissy, I’ve got to tell you something.
Avery: What?
Reagan: Uncle Pate pushed Mommy into that Lake House water.
Avery: What?! Off the dock, where the chairs are?
Reagan: Yes, by the boat.
Avery: Mommy, did Uncle Pate push you into the lake?
Mommy: Yes, baby, he sure did.
Avery: I didn’t see it.
Mommy: No, you must have been inside.
Avery: Yeah, y’all were out there a long time while I was baking the pizza!
Reagan: Here, sissy, I’ve got another cookie for you.

(about 20 seconds of silence)

Reagan: Nobody’s talking anymore.

An Overheard Conversation in the Pool

Avery: (talking about the blue noodle) “Reagan, give me that one.” (Note: Avery had a blue noodle of her own)
Reagan: “Sissy, noooo.”
Avery: “Why?”
Reagan: “I don’t wannaaaaaa.”
Avery: “Why?”
Reagan: “Because it’s mine.”
Avery: “Reagan, if you give me that blue noodle, I will buy you some chocolate milk.”
Reagan: “Noooo.”
Avery: “Reagan, if you don’t give it to me I won’t buy you the chocolate milk!”
Reagan: (ignoring her and playing with the noodle)
Avery: “Ok, I won’t buy you rainbooooow chcocolate milk, then!”
