How Could This Rhythm Ever Quit?
I know … I know! It’s to the point now that you’re lame if you like Dave Matthews Band. With all the popped-collard frat boys and obnoxious girls, it’s enough to make any true fan disgusted. Well, call me lame, but I’ve been in love with that man and that band for many, many years. He was my first love. You only get that once in your life.
I’m pretty stoked about all the south-eastern tour dates planned. They are playing at Oak Mountain … on April 20th (my mom’s birthday!)!!!!!!!! That makes me so, so, so very happy.
It’s going to be bittersweet, though. Roi, bless his soul, will not be there. Looking at the picture below … it’s so strange not seeing him.
So, yes, I may be considered lame b/c I love this band … but, that’s ok. It’s darn good music, even if I have heard it a thousand times!
I’m not the most eloquent writer, so I’m just going to put it out there. Hot Damn, Dave is FFFFIIIINNNNEEE in this picture. Geez!

Christmas Jam
This past weekend, I decided to drive to North Carolina and meet some friends for Christmas Jam. I must say that I am so glad that I did. There were several highlights for me. Seeing Ben Harper jam with John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin was pretty d*mn awesome. They played “Good Times, Bad Times,” and I pretty much lost it. To close out the show they played, “When the Levee Breaks.” This guy and I were joking back and forth … is this a cover? Um, nah, it’s John Paul Jones. It was fantastic.
One of my favorite moments was when Gov’t Mule w/ Karl Denson played Bob Marley’s, “Lively Up Yourself.” I can’t explain it. It was just that incredible.
Oh, yeah ... My camera sucks just as bad as Auburn's AD and BOT. Therefore, I have blurry pictures.

Ben Harper, fool!

Excuse me while I kiss the sky ...
And, while my blog goes through some changes. I'm not quite diggin' the new layout, but I'll find something I like soon.
