Thank You ... Falettin Me Be Mice Elf Again

Dance to the music ... all night long. Everday people ... sing their simple song.

She is so cool.

We were on our way to work/school the other day, and I heard her in the back singing some Sly and the Family Stone. “Thank you for letting me be myself again. Thank you for letting me be myself again.”

Man, I love her!

Shake Up Your Bones; Shake Up Your Feet

So, I check my email today ...

I get emails updating me on different bands and where they are touring and et cetera.

So, I see where Dave Matthews Band (roll your eyes if you must) has announced some new tour dates and bands that are touring with them. (By the way, I'm so sick of people hating on Dave. Saying that Dave sucks is so played out and not cool anymore. Go take a bath, dirty hippies:) )

My thoughts as I read the bands: Hmmm. Those are some darn good bands. I would love to see that one particular group. Oh, that group will probably play with DMB somewhere up north, and I’ll never get to see them.

So, I scroll down to check the dates … Old Crow Medicine Show is playing with them at Oak Mountain!!! I could scream! I love that band. And, the best part is that I’ve already got my tickets to that show.

I feel like I am the luckiest girl in the world right now!

A Few Good Cats To Help Me Pass The Day

Havin' a good time, here today. Watching the sun shine, matinee. Never the wrong time, time we stay. Living the moontime, time we play.

My Child

Yesterday, I arrived at “after-school” to pick up my child. As she was running to me, she just started crying. (This child of mine is no spoiled brat. Actually, she is one of the most pleasant people to be around.) So, I asked her what was wrong. She explained that some 1st grader had snatched her toy and ran off with it. Basically, he just stole it from her.

Oh, hell, nah!

I told her to find that boy. We basically went up to every little snotty-nosed brat on that playground to see if he was the one. Apparently, he had already gone by the time I had gotten there. So, cut to today, Mommy’s leaving work early!!

Mofro ...

To put it simply, I love them. To say that their new album, "Orange Blossoms," is great would be an understatement. Every song on the album is amazing. JJ Grey is an extraordinary lyricist, and he is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorite songwriters.

Oh! And, that voice! Wow, that voice ... Lets just say the good Lord gave that boy some talent. (Also, got to love a guy that digs being from the south!)

Mofro, a band infused of soul, blues, funk, rock, and downright nastiness, in the best of ways, is something worth checking out. I'm all about spreading the music. Let me know ... I will make you a copy of their new CD.

My lack of fervent adjectives does not do this band justice. I can't wait to see them in Asheville, North Carolina, in March.

Yay for music and this band!

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep ...

Avery's prayer last night ...
Dear God,
Thank you for Emery. Thank you for Haley. Thank you for Holden. And, thank you, God, for letting people have babies. Amen.
