I turned 28 on Sunday, August, 20. I could not have had a better birthday. The entire weekend was great. My sisters and I decided to go to see Kenny Chesney in Birmingham on Friday night. We could not believe that the show had not sold out, but to our amazement, it had not. Everyone met up and went to the concert. The crowd was really into the show. I have been to a lot of concerts, and I have to say that this was one of the loudest!
Our seats were on the ground level, but in the very back. So, when the concert started we stood on our chairs to see. In the very back, right by our seats, up from the ground comes Kenny Chesney, right beside us. I got some great pictures. After the first song, he ran to the stage, so back we went to standing in our chairs. After he sung a couple of songs, this man approached my sister, Mandy, and asked how many were with her. She grabbed me and Joanna, and he took us to the very front of the stage. We could not believe our luck! We got to hold Kenny’s hand and grab all over his legs :) … After a few songs, to our surprise, out comes Randy Owen (frontman for the group Alabama.) The crowd went wild! I mean, wild! I love the group Alabama, so I was in for a treat. He and Kenny sang a couple of songs together including, My Home’s in Alabama.
For the next surprise, out comes Uncle Kracker singing, When the Sun Goes Down. This is my favorite Kenny Chesney song. It was so much fun and very entertaining. I loved it!!
We woke up Saturday morning and headed to the lake. Stayed out on the boat for most of the day, and then went and had a nice dinner that evening.
Sunday, my actual birthday, just hung out on the boat skiing and tried to knee-board. Everyone kept saying, “It’s easy!” Well, actually, no it’s not. My arms are so sore today. I never could get up. I think I’ll stick with skiing.
All in all, I had a great birthday with friends and family. I’ll post pictures when I get them. I have some great (uh-hem) shots of Kenny’s backside. :)
Up next: Hank Williams, Jr. Concert.

Jenny, you go to more concerts than anyone else I know!
I will admit that "When the Sun Goes Down" is a pretty good song, even if it is in the country vein!
Glad you had a great birthday weekend. :)
And I like your new blog template!
