I mean, really. What else is there to say?

First, I just want to give a War Eagle to that one smart guy that always reads my blog. He is the best!

Ok, I’ve made my mind up … I’m going to Athens for the game! It didn’t take much persuading from my sister. This is going to be Brandon’s last game against Georgia. How can I miss that?!

You know I love Brandon because of his talent and everything great he brings to Auburn … But, today, I’m going to just say what I’ve been thinking the past five years … D*mn, that boy is fine!

Here’s a lil’ somethin’ to bring a smile to all you ladies faces … Yeah, I know I post this picture all the time, but, who cares … Like I said before, the boy is FI- INE!!!

Oh, No He Didn't!

Now, I’m reminded why I have never much cared for Georgia fans. I get back from lunch and have an email from one of them. I’ll just do a copy and paste of what he said and then my reply. It’s goes a lil’ somethin’ somethin’ like this:

Ignorant Georgia Fan: Did you hear about the blackout? All the UGA fans will be wearing black this weekend……. I hope the good guys win and the war chickens / kitty cats / plainsboys lose. What’s up with all those mascots? Do you all have identity issues?

My response: Yes, I did hear that you all were wearing black this Saturday. Desperate times calls for desperate measures, I guess. Sort of like how Georgia ran on the field during the Florida game—illegal and no class, but hey, whatever it takes to win the game, eh?

The Plains is the area where Auburn is located. People were called Plainsman back in the day. But, you’ll never hear us yelling, “Go, Plainsman.” Or seeing a Plainsman in a mascot uniform. Trust me. I’ve been to a lot of Auburn games.

Let me explain this one to you so you will know for the future. We have one mascot, which is the tiger. War Eagle is a battle cry back from around 1864. It’s something special and everyone recognizes it and affiliates it with Auburn. Sort of sucks for you that your team doesn’t have anything quite like that, huh? Yeah, I know it does.

No identity crisis here just something unique. Hopefully it’s jealousy on your part, more so than stupidity ... Holla!

I have yet to hear back from him.

We Shall See ...

Ok, it’s here. The weekend for the “Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.” The Auburn/Georgia game, baby. Yes, I will admit it—I don’t despise Georgia quite like I used to. Alabama takes that top spot now!

I asked fans from Auburn, Georgia, and yes, even Alabama what their predictions for the final score of the game. Here are the results:

Auburn Fan: Auburn 24 Georgia 10
(Editor’s note: Very smart guy. He has not been far off this year. I hope he’s dead on this time!)

Georgia Fan: Georgia 21 Auburn 17
(Editor’s note: Very sweet, optimistic, delusional Georgia fan. I still love her, though.)

Auburn Fan: Auburn 24 Georgia 17
(Editor’s note: One of my lovely sisters, who graduated from Auburn with honors. No bias. Just calls it like she sees it.)

Georgia Fan: “Georgia and Auburn will play a closely-fought game; Georgia will however, win by 7 points.”
(Editor’s note: I asked for a final score. Typical Georgia fan that can’t follow directions. Geez.)

Auburn Fan: Auburn 24 Georgia 10
(Editor’s note: Another one of my lovely sisters. She and the very smart guy picked the same outcome. Huh.)

Georgia Fan: Georgia 24 Auburn 21
(Editor’s note: She told me I was living in a “fairy land” if I thought Auburn was going to win. This is coming from a person who is 5 feet tall. Ha! I love her though.)

Auburn Fan: Auburn 30 Georgia 20
(Editor’s note: This guy likes to beat up Georgia fans. Now that I think about it, he likes to beat up Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, et cetera fans, as well.)

Georgia Fan: Georgia 27 Auburn 21
(Editor’s note: I used to date this Georgia fan. He always did have a great sense of humor, kind of like that score he just predicted.)

Auburn Fan: Auburn 17 Georgia 14
(Editor’s note: She grew up in Athens. So, she can testify that these fans are annoying. She couldn’t take the obnoxious red and black and bulldawgs and hedges and arches and all that other mess. She bleeds orange and blue.)

Georgia Fan: Georgia 31 Auburn 27
(Editor’s note: Take my advice—if you’re an Auburn fan, marry an Auburn fan! You’ve got to have that one thing in common.)

Auburn Fan: Auburn 28 Georgia 24
(Editor’s note: This guy is a die-hard Auburn fan, kind of like me. But, he is more obnoxious to watch a game with than I ever thought about being. Good grief. I thought he was going to have a heart attack during the Auburn/Florida game.)

Georgia Fan: Georgia 21 Auburn 14
(Editor’s note: One of the smoothest talking Georgia fans around. Smooth, O, real smooth!)

Now, I will prove my point to just how ignorant Alabama fans are … when asked their prediction for the Auburn/ Georgia game, here is what they said … And, I quote:

Alabama dingbat fan #1: “Alabama is gonna win!!!!”
(Editor’s note: I had no response to this.)

Alabama dingbat fan #2: “Georgia”
(Editor’s note: I responded with a not so friendly hand gesture.)

Now, this Auburn fan's prediction: I’m going to reverse that one Georgia fan's score … I say Auburn 31 Georgia 27

Now, all together, Warrrrrrr Eagle, Hey!
